Fixed Date Timers
Fixed date timers count down to a specific date and time. Everyone sees the same countdown, making them perfect for events, sales, and launches.
When to Use Fixed Date Timers
Events & Launches
Product launches, webinars, live streams
Sales & Promotions
Black Friday, flash sales, seasonal offers
- When the deadline is the same for all recipients
- When you're promoting a specific event date
- When authenticity matters (real deadline)
Creating a Fixed Date Timer
1. Select Timer Type
In the Config tab, select "Fixed Date" from the Timer Type dropdown.
2. Set Target Date & Time
Choose the exact date and time when the countdown should end. Use the date picker and time selector.
3. Configure Timezone
Choose how the timezone should be handled:
Understanding Timezones
Timezone settings are crucial for fixed date timers. Here's how each option works:
Fixed Timezone (Recommended for Sales)
The timer ends at the exact same moment globally. If you set December 25 at midnight EST, the timer ends at:
- • New York: 12:00 AM
- • Los Angeles: 9:00 PM (previous day)
- • London: 5:00 AM
- • Tokyo: 2:00 PM
Viewer's Timezone
The timer ends at midnight in each viewer's local time. This means:
- • Users in Tokyo see it end at midnight Tokyo time
- • Users in New York see it end at midnight New York time
- • Each user gets the full countdown experience
What Happens When It Expires
Configure what happens when the countdown reaches zero in the Expiration settings:
- •Show Zeros: Display 00:00:00:00
- •Hide Timer: Timer disappears after expiration
- •Show Message: Display custom text like "Sale Ended"
- •Redirect: Send viewers to a different URL
Best Practices
- Always test your timer before sending campaigns
- Consider your audience's timezone when setting deadlines
- Use clear, action-oriented messaging around the timer
- Set up an appropriate expiration action
